Travel information

We recommend that you arrive in the hotel Sunday, May 27, late afternoon, early evening, in time for a welcome drink.

By car: There is highway all the way to Pécs from the border with Austria and Slovakia.  Take Highway M1 to Highway M0 near (but before) Budapest.  M0 is the ring around Budapest. Take M0 for about 11 kilometers and then switch to Highway M6 to Pécs.  You need a window sticker (highway toll) that you can obtain at the border. By train:  Intercity trains to Pécs are departing from Déli Pu - Southern Railway Station, starting at 8:41 AM and then every two hour until 22:41.  The ride takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes.  The ticket costs about 15 Euros one-way.  Upon arrival in Pécs take the 900 taxi, it costs 900 Hungarian Forints (3 Euros) to any destination in the center of the town.

Air:  Arriving to Budapest Airport by far the most convenient means of reaching the Hotel in Pécs is via the Airport Shuttle.  Reservation is required.  Please contact the conference secretary, Ms. Andrea Lóki (loki@fizika.ttk.pte.hu) with your arrival and departure information; she will make the reservation for you.  The cost is a little under 30 Euros, one-way with discount for round-trip.
